2020 Census

A Decennial Census is required by the U.S. Constitution to determine the number of seats each state will have in the House of Representatives. In addition, an accurate count in our community will not just ensure that we are properly represented but also ensure that we, a a community, receive the appropriate allocation of the government funding that is allocated based upon the population count resulting from the Dencennial Census.

This April 1st is Census Day but the Census Bureau is looking to fill job vacancies now. Lorain County is in great need of applicants in general but Southern Lorain County is especially experiencing a shortage of applicants to fill the vacancies of Enumerators (Census-Takers), Census Field Supervisors as well as other office positions located in regional offices.

There is an opportunity to earn $17.00 an hour in Lorain County while working 15 to 40 hours a week with most assignments lasting 8 - 10 weeks.
